Buffalo Blend

I know everyone is thinking turkey right now, but wanted to give a quick shout out to the American Bison.

I was able to get my hands on some more local buffalo and wanted to do a real quick post, because I finished the skein. You can see my previous post about how I obtained the buffalo fiber here.

This time I really wanted to do a tweedy blend so I pulled from my stock of fibers. Here are the fibers right before they went onto the drum carder.

  • The white fiber is a wool and llama blend from my Diego (wethered Shetland) and Izaak (llama).
  • The dark brown is lambswool from our Shetland Lola and mohair from our Angora goat, Catie. Catie is such a love!
  • The reddish brown is the buffalo.
Here are the blended fibers....

...and this is the finished product.

Enjoy the holiday and safe travels, everyone! Remember, there are still 3 1/2 days to enter the giveaway!!
