They Said It Couldn't Be Done!

I think that was the phrase used when folks thought the Hoover Dam couldn't be built. Well, it's applicable to me and crocheting!

I find knitting easy and relaxing, because it is only two stitches, knit and purl. Two stitches, people! Two stitches. Crocheting? I swear there are two million. Single, double, half double, treble....and it just keeps going.

So thanks to my friend, Chicago Cindy the Wonderful Crocheter, and her repeated attempts over the last five years, I am finally catching on.

To top it off, I am crocheting using my hand-dyed, handspun yarn (of course!). I love the way the different colors play out in crochet garments. Now, if I could just move beyond hats.

"...knowing how to crochet is like being bilingual--it only makes you a better knitter." (From Ten Secrets of the Laidback Knitter)
